Firstly, sorry for ot updating the blog as often as I hoped to - we were just to busy on the tours or having fun :o)

After a fantastic four days we have arrived home safely, although Sam did try to injury himself by falling all the way down the aeroplane steps!

I hope everyone that went enjoyed it and new long lasting friendship have been made.

The premier of the 'film of the trip' will be saturday 20th March, 7.30pm at Prances. See you all there.

Keep an eye on wwwscoutsgointernational.org.uk for the next international opportunity.

Dancing

We are out for our last meal in Krakow. A traditional Polish meal with singing and dancing - which involes audience participation!

Birkenau

A very informative tour of Auschwitz was followed by time at Birkenau. The thick, deep, cold snow wasn't a problem for us in all our modern warm clothing, but just how intolerable was it for those imprisoned there with just pyjamas to wear???...

Auschwitz

Need I say more...

On the coach

Everyone was up and ready to leave the Hostel on time by 7.50am! We are now on the coach on the way to Auschwitz, there is an air of apprehension in the coach...

A great evening was spent with some Scouts from Poland. 4 girls and 2 boys and their leader came and talked to us about the differences between Scouting in Poland and England. Lots was learnt about each others activities and traditions. They camp once a year, but for 5 weeks in a forest!!

A game of table football also took place, with England winning 10, 9

Don't forget...

Everything should be packed in a single case, total weight of 10kg. If anyone taking make up, that needs to go in you small clear bag, not in a make up bag in the case.

If not done already, print your boarding cards, don't forget Passports and EHIC. See at the airport at 4am tomorrow!

Passport

Just a reminder to not forget your passports.  I have been speaking to Monika at the Hostel today and once we have arrived there, we can lock all the passports away in their safe and collect again on the morning before we leave.

We will collect them in before entering the hostel – unless it’s raining or snowing and we need to get into the dry J

Look out for us

It may not be possible, but I’m hoping that we can get the group in front of the webcam on Saturday at between 16:00 and 16:30 (Polish time)on Saturday.  We will stand near the oval entrances to the cloth hall.  If you are watching for us and see us on the cam, can you take a screen shot and email it to me please?

Meal at Restaurant

I have just got conformation that the meal at the restaurant on the last evening will be just 35PLN per person.

Please hand in your money to Glyn once we have arrived at the Hostel in Poland. If it's collected in early, then you won't spend it and go Hungry on the last night :o)
